I had to write this email. I thought I was the only one who believed that an iced gin martini and a plate of raw oysters is the best possible food combination in the world. I had an occasion to celebrate something, and my friend said: You are going out for steak and champagne, right? I said no way, martinis and oysters! Your article was so well written, and so in contact with my beliefs, that it almost brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for writing that. Now I’m off to have a gin martini with my wife.
